Marine Solutions, Inc. in Newark, New Jersey is seeking a Project Engineer to join our marine engineering team. The role focuses on field inspection, material testing, analysis, design, and documentation under the guidance of a senior engineer.

Requirements include a civil/structural/ocean engineering degree, EIT, and 0–4 years of experience; strong communication and organizational skills are essential for coordination with project teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in civil, structural or ocean engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• 0-4 years of engineering experience.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs field inspection and evaluation of structures under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
• Performs testing of materials and incorporates results into reports under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
• Performs complex engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
• Prepares comprehensive engineering documents including inspection reports, design plans, and specifications under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
• Actively participates in internal project meetings and works to actively resolve project issues.
• Actively promotes a safe work culture.
