JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Extension in Westmoreland County seeks a part-time Family Well-being Program Assistant for six months to support a project exploring youth-serving programs in the county and assisting the county Extension Educator. Responsibilities include networking with organizations, supporting data collection through interviews and surveys, and organizing community forums in the spring. The assistant will participate in state meetings and trainings (online and/or in-person) as available. This is a hybrid position.

Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Interest in working with people of diverse backgrounds
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours
  • Valid driver's license and use of a private automobile

The program assistant must ensure compliance with Penn State University's affirmative action plan and make programs accessible to all clientele regardless of age, ancestry, color, disability, national origin, race, religious creed, sex, sexual orientation, or veteran status.

This position requires operating a motor vehicle. A valid US driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check, along with standard background checks, are required.

  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance
  • FBI Criminal Background Check
