Broughton Group is looking for part-time production crew members to assist in broadcasting events at Indiana University. The position involves operating cameras and teleprompters, executing various camera moves, and training on diverse crew assignments.
This role offers a starting pay of $12.50 per hour with opportunities for progression. Part-time employees are expected to be flexible with hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet event schedules.
The Media Productions team within The Media School is seeking individuals desiring to work part‑time as members of our production crew. The crew typically consists of about 50 part‑time individuals and is led directly by the Cream and Crimson Studios Manager, Media Productions Manager, and overseen by the Director of Media Productions. The crew assists in broadcasting Big 10 athletic events, IU ceremonies, leadership addresses, and more.
Individuals starting in this position will shadow multiple positions while also being exposed to and trained on the following within Level 1.
*Note – There are 4 levels of production crew and there are several other skills/assignments one will learn if progressing through these levels after becoming proficient in all Level 1 skills/assignments.

Selected candidates for interview will be asked to provide scheduling availability and other information as determined relevant by the Director of Media Productions, Cream and Crimson Studios Manager, and Media Productions Manager. Those candidates selected for hire will be offered $12.50 per hour to start, with the opportunity to progress in pay 2× per year (opportunities going into fiscal year start in July and mid‑year in January).
Work shifts will be varied throughout the week. Evening, weekend, and holiday work will likely be required given event schedule and client needs. Part‑time employees at Indiana University may not work over 29 hours per week across all University‑held positions.
