Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Stocking Clerk to keep shelves stocked and provide friendly, knowledgeable service. This entry-level role involves a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service and merchandising.

You will stock shelves, move products, manage backstock, work with leadership to finish areas on time, maintain a clean workspace, interact with customers, and work overnight to prepare the store for the day.

Qualifications

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
• Able to follow processes and stay organized.
• Calm and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Enjoys being part of a team and supporting shared goals.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to correct shelf locations.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back-room areas.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

What You'll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.
