Job summary

Right At School is hiring a Part-Time Program Manager in the Arcadia area. You will lead a team of educators to deliver engaging curricula, build relationships with school administrators and PTA groups, and ensure high-quality childcare aligned with district policies.

The role emphasizes strong communication, classroom management, and dedication to supporting children with diverse needs, while maintaining safety and program quality.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED AND 12 semester units of Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development (CD) coursework AND At least 3 semester units in administration or staff relations.
• 4 years of teaching experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group child care program.
• An associate’s degree in ECE or CD with 3 semester units in administration or staff relations & 2 years of teaching experience.
• A Bachelor's degree in ECE or CD with 3 semester units in administration or staff relations & 1 year of teaching experience.
• A Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or Child Development Program Director Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

Responsibilities

Location: Horace Man & Hawthorne Elementary

Pay Range: $26-$29/hour (dependent on education and experience)

Schedule: 1:00pm-6:00pm Monday-Friday

As Program Manager You Will

• Lead a team of educators and/or assistant teachers to ensure the delivery of engaging, interactive educational experiences and curriculum
• Develop strong relationships with school administration, parents, & PTA organizations in order to provide the best care for children and ensure customer satisfaction
• Manage staff compliance with district-specific policies and procedures
• Maintain excellent communication with varied audience including children, parents, staff and school personnel
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play
• Lead the educator and assistant teacher team in organizing program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents and other observations
• Manage and order supplies as needed according to curriculum
• Meet and report regularly to the Area Manager regarding program, site, and staff performance

Education And Experience (REQUIRED)

• High school graduation or GED AND 12 semester units of Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development (CD) coursework AND At least 3 semester units in administration or staff relations. 4 years of teaching experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group child care program.

Alternative Qualifications

An associate’s degree in ECE or CD with 3 semester units in administration or staff relations & 2 years of teaching experience.

OR

A Bachelor's degree in ECE or CD with 3 semester units in administration or staff relations & 1 year of teaching experience.

Or

A Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or Child Development Program Director Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
