Job summary

Pawtucket Public Schools in Pawtucket, RI is seeking a part-time hourly aide to support preschool classrooms. This temporary role provides services no more than 10-15 hours per week and is contingent on funding and need.

The incumbent will maintain confidentiality of student information, follow program standards for lunch and toileting, and work with parents, teachers, administrators and other staff. Regular attendance and ability to lift up to 20 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school degree or higher.
• Experience working with young children from 0 to 8 years.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, including procedure manuals.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents, teachers, administrators, community, students, and others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Follow program standards and guidelines pertaining to lunch and toileting procedures with appropriate adult/child interaction.
• Comply with State Law and District policies and regulations.
• Perform duties in full compliance with district requirements and school policies.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Perform diapering, toileting and related duties as assigned by supervisor.
