Job summary

CPCD is seeking a Part Time Preschool Lead Teacher to advance school readiness and provide nurturing learning experiences for young children.

Responsibilities include planning curriculum, supervising classroom staff, and ensuring compliance with Head Start Performance Standards. The position offers paid vacation time, paid sick time, holidays/breaks, and a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees; pay scales start at $26.70/hr for an AA degree and $29.65/hr for a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in ECE or related field (Director Qualified or willing to obtain).
• Experience teaching in early childhood education and curriculum planning.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• First Aid and CPR within the first year of employment.
• Medication Administration certification within 90 days of employment.
• Pre-employment physical, TB test, drug test and background check as required.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements learning experiences promoting school readiness.
• Maintains a safe, healthy learning environment in partnership with families.
• Provides daily supervision for assigned classroom staff.
• Complies with Head Start Performance Standards and licensing requirements.
