The Learning Experience - Hickory Flat, GA seeks a Preschool Floater-cum-Cook to join our team as an ambassador of happiness. You will plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for preschool children, while tracking allergies and ensuring food safety. This role also supports classrooms as a floater teacher; part-time cook with potential full-time classroom support.

We offer wages ranging from $12-$15/hr based on experience, with certification support available during onboarding.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
1+ year of experience in food preparation and cooking.
Food handling certificate or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and serve healthy meals for preschool children meeting nutritional requirements.
Maintain and track food allergies for each child and communicate allergies to teachers with every food delivery.
Follow proper food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures.
Collaborate with Center Leadership to purchase food and supplies and keep inventory records as required by local/state agencies.
Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards parents and children.
Be flexible to daily business needs; part-time cook and floater teacher duties.
