Job summary

St. Peter's Health in Montana is seeking a part‑time Early Childhood Assistant Teacher (20 hours per week) to support the Lead Teacher in a safe, nurturing preschool classroom for ages 3–6.

You will help implement developmentally appropriate activities, supervise children, and encourage social, emotional, and physical growth through play and structured learning. You'll work with staff and families, follow licensing and safety regulations, and provide classroom coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 years.
• CPR and Pediatric First Aid within 30 days of employment.
• Montana Early Childhood Project Practitioner Registry within 15 days of hire.
• Infant Safety Essentials within 30 days and Health and Safety Required Professional Development within 90 days of hire.
• Complete mandatory 16‑hour annual training and keep current all licensing immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher in delivering a safe, nurturing preschool environment for ages 3–6.
• Supervise children during daily activities and guided play.
• Support developmentally appropriate curriculum and structured learning.
• Maintain a clean and healthy classroom and respond to children’s individual needs.
• Collaborate with staff and families and provide classroom coverage as needed.
