Job summary

Encompass is seeking an Assistant Preschool Teacher to support classroom teachers in a part-time role at the Early Learning Center in North Bend, WA. The position offers a 20-hour work week with a school-year schedule and potential for increased hours as enrollment grows.

You will help implement daily plans, foster a nurturing learning environment, and collaborate with therapists to support children’s development. Provisional opportunities may exist for a full-time schedule in the future.

Qualifications

• A CDA credential (or working toward one).
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
• A positive, flexible, “let’s figure it out” attitude.
• Strong communication with children, families, and teammates.
• Comfort juggling a variety of tasks (and the occasional surprise!).

Responsibilities

• Help bring daily classroom plans to life—from music and movement to meals, group projects, and free play.
• Create a welcoming, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
• Pitch in to plan family events and support family goals.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Build positive, nurturing relationships with every child.
