WindRiver Living is seeking a reliable Part-Time Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This role supports food preparation, cleanliness, and proper handling of kitchen equipment in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate shows a passion for food and cleanliness and can work with a team to maintain efficient operations. Responsibilities include chopping vegetables, sauces, portioning ingredients, proper storage, and inventory stocking, plus dishwashing and general kitchen care.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen/restaurant experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from kitchen staff.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and portioning ingredients.
• Ensure all ingredients are properly stored, labeled, and organized.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist in receiving and stocking inventory.
• Operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, glassware, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Hand-wash specific kitchen items as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sweeping and mopping floors.
• Take out trash and ensure all waste is disposed of properly.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Communicate with kitchen staff and managers to ensure smooth workflow.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Assist with other kitchen duties as required.
