Job summary

Restaurant Associates in Boston is seeking a part-time Prep Cook to support daily kitchen operations. The role requires prior kitchen experience and offers a 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM schedule, Monday through Friday, at MAX Ultimate Food.

You will follow production schedules, prepare items from production sheets, and ensure food safety and quality. This position is with Restaurant Associates, a leading provider of dining and event catering.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Obtains daily production schedule and prep requirements from the Chef.
• Prepares items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
• Completes and follows daily production worksheets and waste log sheets; tastes meals for quality.
• Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Stores, labels and dates all food items according to policy; follows HACCP guidelines.
• Completes required documentation, reports, logs as required.
• Complies with health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
• Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short prep time.
• Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
