Job summary

Onni Group of Companies in Seattle is seeking a driven kitchen prep candidate to support culinary teams. You will prepare ingredients, label and store foods, and maintain clean, organized stations.

This role requires prior kitchen experience, basic food safety knowledge, the ability to work evenings/weekends, and a High School Diploma or GED. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients (chopping vegetables, cutting meats, making sauces, etc.).
• Label, date, and store food properly to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Assist cooks and chefs with daily prep tasks and mise en place.
• Keep prep stations clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Support with closing and cleaning duties as needed.
• May be asked to take out trash and recycling as needed.
• May be asked to sweep and mop the floors as needed.

What You Will Do

What You Bring

• Previous kitchen or prep experience required
• Basic understanding of food safety and knife handling
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work on your feet for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain one)
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• High School Diploma or GED

Salary Range

$26-$32/hr
