Job summary

iHealth is seeking a part-time Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for our Plymouth, MN surgery center. This 0.8 FTE position offers Monday–Friday shifts, with times from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM, to support perioperative care across pre-op, PACU, Phase II and procedure room.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred. A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
• Current licensure as an RN in MN or WI multistate required.
• One year of nursing experience in PACU or other critical care in the last 5 years preferred.
• Current member American Society of Post Anesthesia Nurses preferred.
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS certification required or completed upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses holistic needs of the patient from pre-op phone call through discharge and documents findings.
• Reviews pre-admission screening and H&P for admission per criteria.
• Assesses patient needs, supplies and equipment for admission and recovery.
• Completes post-operative phone calls and provides patient triage as needed.
• Provides patient education, support and status updates to patient/family.
