Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a part-time Pre-K Teacher Assistant for the Arlington Central School District, NY, for the 2026–2027 year. Pay is $18.00–$19.00 per hour, hours are Monday–Friday 9:00 am–2:15 pm, and the role is non-exempt.

You will assist the Lead Teacher, implement lesson plans, and support daily classroom activities in a structured Pre‑K setting. You must have a high school diploma or GED and Teacher Assistant Certification; an Associate’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Teacher Assistant Certification required.
• Associate’s degree in education or related field preferred.
• Must pass state background checks.
• Experience in childcare or early education preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to engage four-year-olds in structured activities.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teacher with lesson plans and daily activities.
• Assist with learning activities and classroom transitions.
• Supervise and support children's social, emotional, and physical development.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Support UPK program requirements and attendance.
