Job summary
Dakota County Technical College seeks a temporary, part-time Practical Nursing Instructor to join a student-centered learning community in Rosemount. The role covers teaching PNSG 1600: Clinical I and PSNG 1620: Clinical II, and PSNG 1010: Foundations Lab during the 2026–2027 academic year.
The teaching load is anticipated at 12 credits per term; start date is August 24, 2026, with instruction delivered at clinical locations off-site. This is a part-time, unclassified fixed-term appointment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a graduate degree in support of the field of nursing and/or education with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing if the graduate degree is not in Nursing.
- Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a registered nurse at the professional level.
- Current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse (RN) with current Minnesota registration.
- One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application; recency may be waived for recent qualified teaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Teach Practical Nursing clinicals (Clinical I and II).
- Instructor is responsible for instructional planning, curriculum development, student evaluation and records, and classroom climate management.
- Promote safety in all program activities and participate in professional development and college service.
