About The Moore

The Moore is a landmark destination in Miami Design District, comprising a private members club, hotel, and a collection of restaurants, retail, exhibition, and event spaces. It features Elastika, a site-specific installation by Zaha Hadid from 2005, and spans four floors with diverse offerings including dining, private clubs, offices, and hotel suites.

The redevelopment is led by WoodHouse, a boutique hospitality firm creating experiential concepts across various venues.

Position Overview

As a Porter at Elastika, your main responsibility is to support kitchen operations by organizing and cleaning kitchen items such as pots, pans, dishware, and equipment. Your efforts will help maintain cleanliness, order, and efficiency in the kitchen.

You will proactively complete tasks including discarding rubbish, operating industrial cleaning equipment like dishwashers, and assisting the Chef on Duty as needed.

Maintaining cleanliness and organization is crucial. Ensuring all dishes and equipment are properly cleaned and stored will uphold Elastika’s high standards.

Required Skills/Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Porter or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to organize and clean kitchen items effectively.
• Familiarity with operating industrial cleaning equipment and procedures.
• Proactive in completing tasks and maintaining cleanliness.
• Good physical stamina for repetitive tasks.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to arrive early for shifts to prepare and be briefed.
• Positive attitude and team support skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to handle objects with hands, including grasping and holding.
• Work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
