Job summary

Prevail on Wings of Hope, a veteran‑owned private practice in Texas, seeks a Part‑Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP‑BC) to provide evaluations, medication management, and collaborative care with therapists for children, adolescents, and adults. The role requires two weekday evenings weekly and offers flexible daytime hours as discussed with the practice.

Ideal candidates hold a current Texas APRN license, PMHNP‑BC certification, and a DEA license or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Current Texas APRN license.
• Board Certified PMHNP (PMHNP‑BC).
• DEA License (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to prescribe controlled substances.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable providing both in-person and telehealth services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations.
• Diagnose and treat mental health conditions across the lifespan.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
• Develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate closely with therapists regarding shared clients.
• Provide education to clients and families regarding medications and treatment options.
• Complete documentation within 24 hours.
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations.
• Participate in occasional team meetings and case consultations.
