Job summary

Project Transition is hiring a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in Nashville, TN. This is a part-time role with an option to transition to full-time, serving in a multidisciplinary program supervised by a psychiatrist, with collaborative care across teams.

The PMHNP will provide medication management, perform psychiatric assessments, document thoroughly in the EHR, and coordinate with external providers while maintaining licensure, malpractice coverage, and certifications.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing with PMHNP-BC or FNP-C.
• ANCC or AANP board certification as PMHNP-BC or FNP-C.
• Valid, non-commercial driver's license.
• Maintain malpractice coverage as per employment contract.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive medication management and documentation in the EHR.
• Perform scheduled individual sessions and medication reconciliation.
• Conduct mental status exams and coordinate care with external providers.
• Review and approve prescriptions from other prescribers.
• Oversee Medication Room operations and ensure timely refills and authorizations.
