We are currently hiring for a Cook position. The primary responsibilities include preparing food according to the menu, ensuring proper diets are served, and maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen environment following cleaning schedules. Candidates must have cooking experience.

Cook: Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Prepare meals, desserts, and snacks according to the posted menu schedule, ensuring special diets and dietary concerns are followed.
  2. Serve meals that are palatable and presentable.
  3. Keep the work area clean, organized, and sanitized, including washing pots and pans as needed.
  4. Understand and comply with health code requirements for food and beverage storage, hot/cold holding temperatures, and maintain proper documentation.
  5. Estimate and prepare food supplies to meet serving portions.
  6. Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful work environment.
  7. Participate in continuing educational programs related to food service.
Requirements
  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. At least 18 years of age.
  3. Interest in geriatrics and ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  4. Knowledge of dietary techniques and procedures.
  5. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
