California State University, Bakersfield's Department of Physics and Engineering is inviting applications for a Lecturer Pool in Physics for the 2026/2027 academic year. These positions are temporary, part-time, and used to fill short-term teaching needs across campus.

Applicants should hold a Master's degree in Physics, Astronomy, Applied Physics, or Engineering Physics (PhD preferred). Prior university teaching experience is desirable.

Formación

• Master's degree in Physics, Astronomy, Applied Physics, or Engineering Physics, or closely related field, or equivalent experiences.
• PhD degree in Physics, Astronomy, Applied Physics, or Engineering Physics, or closely related field, or equivalent experiences.
• Prior university teaching experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis for our pool of part-time lecturers. This pool may be used to fill vacant positions across the campus on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year.
• Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester. The pool will be closed effective May 31st. To be considered for the next academic year, applicants must apply to the new pool when it becomes available by June 15th.
