Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) seeks a Head of Community Primary Care to lead adult primary care sites affiliated with BMCHS. The role reports to senior clinical leadership and focuses on building community practices, improving access, and aligning care with system goals.

Candidate must have at least 10 years in primary care, leadership experience as a Site Lead or Medical Director, and board certification in internal or family medicine.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience practicing primary care.
• Experience as a Site Lead, Medical Director, or similar leadership role.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Experience with value-based care, informatics, or network strategy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee community hospital primary care sites in collaboration with Site Leads and Medical Directors.
• Promote evidence-based clinical standards, quality improvement, patient engagement and safety.
• Grow employed FTEs and recruit/retain clinicians while monitoring performance.
• Align site goals with BMCHS primary care strategy and informatics initiatives.
