Job summary

Impact Healthcare LLC in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant to provide therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with the patient’s plan of care.

The role involves guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, applying modalities, documenting care, and collaborating with the rehab team to support functional recovery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program with an associate degree.
• Current certification or license as required by state law.
• CPR certification.
• Must be a licensed driver with insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct PT assistance under the direction of a licensed PT.
• Treat patients to relieve pain and restore function.
• Guide patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises.
• Utilize physical modalities (heat, cold, water, light, electrical therapy, ultrasound, massage).
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to PT/organization staff.
• Instruct patients in use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, prosthetic devices.
• Maintain clinical notes and records per policy timelines.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team and inservice education.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
