Job summary

Natchitoches Regional Medical Center seeks a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant to administer modalities under the staff physical therapist and assist with patient rehabilitation within their Louisiana Extended Care department.

The role supports patient functioning, participates in CQI and infection control, and helps with safety programs and equipment training as part of a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• Degree from an APTA-approved program required.
• Current Physical Therapy Assistant certification required.
• Current BCLS (CPR) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administers physical therapy modalities as directed by the staff PT.
• Assists with restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability.
• Supports patient to reach maximum performance within abilities.
• Participates in department CQI activities and infection control.
• Engages in departmental safety, equipment training, and safety programs.

Education
