Job summary

UTHealth Houston is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist for the Outpatient Specialty Clinic to support pediatric and adult patients with bleeding and clotting disorders. You will deliver comprehensive rehabilitation assessments, guide joint health, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a daytime on-site setting.

The role emphasizes strong clinical judgment, patient education, and development of home exercise programs, with ultrasound support being preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Physical Therapy license from ECPTOTE is required.
• Minimum education: Bachelor's degree; master's/doctorate options noted with experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all physical therapy and related orthopedic care to ensure appropriate patient treatment.
• Conduct patient consultation, evaluation, and program planning for all patients.
• Develop home exercise programs to instruct patients in the required exercise for treatment.
• Reassess patient status on an ongoing basis to ensure that treatment goals, plans, and program are appropriate.
• Communicates effectively with patient/family to ensure knowledge of treatment plan and home exercises.
• Develops educational programs to increase patient/family and community awareness of physical therapy treatment.
• Assists in continuing education and orientation for new employees to increase awareness of physical therapy treatments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
