Qualifications

• Master’s degree in physical education, or equivalent if qualified.
• Bachelor’s degree in physical education or related field and master’s degree in life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration, or physical therapy.
• California Community College Instructor’s Credential in Physical Education; or the equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction for assigned courses with preparation for in-class or online activities.
• Maintain accurate class records and submit attendance rosters and grade reports.
• Follow course outlines and maintain weekly office hours.
• Observe and enforce District and college regulations and policies.
• Provide each student with a written course syllabus at course start.
• Assist students by advising on requirements for success in the field.
