Job summary

Clovis Community College seeks a Part-Time Photography Instructor to teach a schedule of Photography courses, using diverse teaching methods across face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats. The instructor will communicate effectively with students and colleagues and align with the college's equity-minded approach to student success.

The candidate should be prepared to teach in evenings or weekends, provide syllabi and grading reports, and participate in dual enrollment when needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s in photography, fine arts, or art; or Bachelor’s in any of the above and Master’s in art history or humanities.
• A valid California Community College Credential; or the equivalent education and/or experience (requires an equivalency).
• If degrees do not match exactly, petition for equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Teaching a part-time schedule of Photography courses as assigned.
• Using diverse pedagogies and incorporating instructional delivery systems including online, on-line, and/or hybrid formats.
• Communicating effectively with students, faculty and staff.
• Using effective teaching methods appropriate to the subject matter and adhering to curriculum outlines of record.
• Evaluating student progress through tests, assignments, and exams; maintaining course syllabi and records.
• Teaching in the evening/weekend and possibly off-campus for dual enrollment; fulfilling duties per Administrative Regulation 7122.
