Qualifications

• Must meet one of the listed minimum qualifications.
• Evidence of ability to teach diverse student populations.
• If using equivalency, submit an Application for Equivalency with materials.
• Desirable: teaching experience in community college or lower divisions.
• Desirable: expertise in the subject area to be taught.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
• Maintain professional conduct and ethics.
• Keep current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
• Fulfill responsibilities of a part‑time/temporary faculty member.
• Teach all scheduled classes and maintain accurate records.

Education

Valid California Community College instructor credential, appropriate to the subject, per Education Code 87355 (issued prior to July 1 1990).

Master’s degree from an accredited institution in photography, fine arts, or art.

Bachelor’s degree in photography, fine arts, or art AND a Master’s degree in art history or humanities.
