Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Completion of a Phlebotomy; Medical Laboratory; or Medical Assistant program that includes phlebotomy preferred.
• Familiar with medical terminology; computer data entry; organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy duties including specimen collection and processing.
• Ensure specimen integrity and proper labeling during collection.
• Operate the lab computer system to document specimen information and orders.
• Prepare specimens for referral to outside labs and arrange referrals.
• Complete associate performance evaluations and competency assessments as scheduled.
