Job summary

LifeServe Blood Center in Johnston, IA is seeking a part-time phlebotomist. No experience is required; all training is provided. Starting pay is $18.75 per hour with a flexible schedule and potential promotion in 6–8 months.

You will welcome and register donors, perform phlebotomy draws, and help with medical history screenings. Shifts are on-site, including early mornings and weekends, with comprehensive benefits for part-time staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Previous phlebotomy or healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in retail, customer service, food service or restaurant is valued.
• Working knowledge and experience working on computer system required.

Responsibilities

• Interacting with and registering lifesaving donors.
• Convey the big picture of saving lives to everyone.
• Performing medical history screenings.
• Performing phlebotomy blood draws.
• Assisting with mobile and donor center setups and tear downs.
