Trilab Health is seeking a flexible and skilled phlebotomist to join our Springfield, IL facility. The role involves performing blood draws and related lab procedures, ensuring accurate specimen collection and handling.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to high-quality patient care. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with competitive hourly pay and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a phlebotomy program or certification is preferred.
• At least one year of phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of safety protocols for handling hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and other laboratory procedures in a professional and courteous manner.
• Verify patient identities and ensure accurate record-keeping for all procedures.
• Educate patients on collection process, including specimen handling and storage.
• Label and prepare specimens for transport, ensuring integrity.
• Communicate with lab staff, management, and healthcare professionals.
• Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA regulations, and lab policies.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain phlebotomy skills.
