Apply locations Breese, IL time type Part time posted on Posted 3 Days Ago job requisition id R1028438 HSHS St. Joseph's Outpatient Lab, X-Ray and Physical Therapy New Baden is seeking a part-time phlebotomist/medical secretary to join our clinic. The ideal candidate will perform phlebotomy procedures and specimen collections appropriately for laboratory testing; will understand and maintain thorough knowledge of test sample priorities and requirements. This position also will be responsible for clerical duties necessary to maintain high quality and efficient daily operations of the laboratory and will assist with clinical laboratory functions as needed.

Responsible for patient check-in and check-out, managing work queues in Epic, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls and handling faxes, patient registration and insurance verification, entering charges and performing charge reconciliation. Requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.


Education Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.

Experience Qualifications

  • 1 year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

  • Phlebotomy certificate or equivalent is preferred.

Pay Range:

$17.50 - $24.50
