Responsibilities

• Performs all duties of a phlebotomist: specimen collection, receiving, and referrals.
• Ensures compliance with CAP, JCAHO, OSHA, infection control, safety and privacy standards.
• Maintains clean, stocked, and sanitary collection areas; procures supplies with team lead.
• Communicates effectively with patients, nurses, physicians, and coworkers.
• Operates laboratory computer systems for patient registration, orders, and lists.
