Job summary

Reedsburg Area Medical Center in Reedsburg, WI seeks a part-time phlebotomist to join its lab team. The role involves specimen collection, processing and basic testing under supervision, with 20 hours per week and shifts from early morning to early afternoon.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program at an accredited school or documentation of equivalent college courses, or Completion of accredited six (6) week phlebotomy program, or A high school diploma with emphasis on science and a willingness to learn the necessary skills during a minimum 6 week period under direct Medical Technologist supervision.
• BLS certified.

Responsibilities

• Initiates specimen collection for the acquisition of blood or body fluids to perform necessary laboratory testing.
• Processes and distributes specimens to other personnel for testing.
• Performs uncomplicated testing procedures, as directed by position description.
