Job summary

BioLife in Madison, WI is seeking a part-time Plasma Center Screener/Phlebotomist to support plasma collection operations. You will greet donors, screen them, collect vital signs, and maintain accurate donor records in our information system while ensuring safety and quality.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with shifts typically 4–6 hours per day for 3+ days per week. Prior donor or patient-facing experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs, occasional lifting up to 32 lbs, rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and hearing equipment from a distance.
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens with glove wear.
• 1+ years of customer/patient-facing experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors while ensuring donor and team safety.
• Screen donors and record donor vital signs and finger-stick results.
• Use Donor Information System and maintain donor charts; coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for center process improvements and implement approved changes.
• Work varied shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
