Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and specimen collection for newborns to adults. You will verify patient identity, label specimens, and support billing and related tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1 year of phlebotomy experience if possible. Day shifts run 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient identification to ensure safety.
• Assesses patient reactions to specimen procurement.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens across age groups.
• Labels specimens and resolves identification issues.
• Answers calls and assists with inventory and supplies.
