Job summary

Akron Children’s Hospital is seeking a Part-time Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist with preparation and distribution of medications. You will fill patient orders and ensure delivery to the correct nursing units.

The role is onsite in Akron, OH with a 16-hour weekly schedule. Responsibilities include preparing IV medications (including chemotherapy), delivering meds to units and offsite locations, stocking dispensing units, and assisting nurses with supply issues.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification as Ohio Pharmacy Technician or registration required; trainee license must convert within 12 months.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Valid State driver's license and insurability.
• Annual physical required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with preparation and distribution of medications.
• Fill patient orders and deliver to nursing units.
• Prepare IV medications, including chemotherapy.
• Deliver meds to units and offsite locations.
• Stock medications in dispensing units and repackage as needed.
• Answer phones and support nursing staff with supply issues.
