Job summary

St. Mary’s Health Care System is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists with timely and accurate preparation of medications and related documents for patient care in a hospital setting.

The role requires attention to detail, maintaining sterility of injections, and keeping laminar flow hoods and equipment clean. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is desirable, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) desirable.
• Pharmacy technician registration as CPhT desirable.

Responsibilities

• Directly accountable to the Pharmacist for the quick and accurate preparation of drug and related documents for patient care.
• Ensure all drugs and documents are checked prior to leaving the pharmacy and strive for accuracy.
• Maintain sterility of injections and care for laminar flow hoods and equipment used to compound or pre-package medications.
• Maintain adequate supplies by recording items on the order log.
