Qualifications

• Must comply with state board requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education and licensure/certification.
• If the state board does not address a minimum age, must be at least 16 years old.
• If the state board does not address a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent or be actively enrolled in high school or equivalency program.
• State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Attention and focus to concentrate on a task and pivot between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
• Customer service and teamwork: help people in a friendly manner and respond to patient reactions.
• Communication: use verbal and written communication with patients and colleagues; active listening.
• Mathematical reasoning: calculate dispensed tablets, days supply, and bottle counts.
• Problem resolution: handle challenging interactions and choose the best course of action.
• Physical demands: be mobile, lift, scan, and bag items; reach and use fine motor skills.
• Immunization support: if permitted, obtain licensure training to support vaccines and educate patients.
