Job summary

SpartanNash in Grand Rapids, Michigan is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to assist licensed pharmacists by dispensing medications and serving customers in a busy retail pharmacy.

You’ll stock and inventory medications, receive prescriptions and refills, count and label products, maintain patient profiles and insurance forms, operate the cash register, and ensure HIPAA compliance while delivering friendly service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of pharmacy-related customer service experience preferred.
• Must have state registration or certification.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret pharmacy-related documents.

Responsibilities

• Stock and inventory medications.
• Receive prescriptions/refills from patients.
• Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, package and label products.
• Maintain patient profiles and prepare insurance forms.
• Operate cash register, display cost, and issue receipts.
• Be familiar with products carried in the department.
• Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department.
• Adhere to HIPAA and all policies; perform delegated tasks by the pharmacist.
