Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Help pharmacists prepare prescriptions by counting or pouring medications, labeling containers, and pricing prescriptions.
• Ensure customers receive all their prescriptions.
• File written prescription forms after dispensing.
• Prepare and complete manual insurance claim forms.
• Maintain organized filing system for invoices, claims, and reports.
• Assist customers in finding over-the-counter items.
• Understand and operate the pharmacy scheduling system (MPP).
• Assist in data entry of MPP information.
• Maintain attendance and vacation logs.
• Understand Pharmacy Standard Practice Manual.
• Order, stock, and maintain pharmacy inventory; return items to suppliers.
• Process outdates and credits; keep inventory free from outdated product.
• Prepare pharmaceutical products for inventory.
• Maintain department cleanliness and appearance per guidelines.
• Maintain pharmacy supplies (bottles, bags, labels, etc.).
• Observe and adhere to company policies and the Pharmacy Standard Practice Manual.
• Maintain neat, professional appearance per policy.
• Follow management planning guidelines to maintain productivity.
• Support safety standards; report equipment repairs.
• Treat co-workers with fairness and respect.
• Maintain presentation of the department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
