Job summary

River Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the Pharmacy Department on a part-time basis (weekdays).

The technician will assist the pharmacist with non-clinical tasks including medication distribution, inventory management, and ordering, while adhering to NYS Board of Pharmacy rules. The role requires prior health system or retail pharmacy experience, proficiency with Omnicell and McKesson ordering, and strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous Health System or retail pharmacy experience, required.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Omnicell, McKesson ordering.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work closely with people and in groups.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Non-clinical support to the pharmacist by aiding in the distribution of medications.
• Check and replace outdated medications.
• Order pharmaceuticals and maintain drug inventory.
• Perform duties as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy.
