Job summary

Meijer is seeking a pharmacist- or pharmacy technician‑level candidate to support patient care in our Michigan location. You will interact with customers, input prescription data, process insurance claims, and help maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment.

Role emphasizes excellent customer service, attention to confidentiality, and adherence to state licensure requirements. Training and advancement opportunities are available under the Meijer rewards program.

Qualifications

  • High School/GED required.
  • Registered and/or licensed as required in the state of practice.
  • Retail/Community Practice experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Positive attitude and reliability.
  • Proficient typing and neat penmanship.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Teamwork and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with patients at various service points of contact.
  • Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
  • Input customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
  • Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
  • Retrieve medications from inventory.
  • Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
  • Order prescription medications for the Pharmacy Department.
  • Stock prescription medications.
  • Maintain an orderly and clean pharmacy for a professional appearance.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Ensure licensure is current in the state of practice.
  • Complete employer-based training if licensure is not required.

What You'll be Doing:
  • Level 2

  • Maintaining a clean, and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
  • Licensed in their respective state if required.
  • Successful completion of Meijer Employer based training if licensure is not required in their respective state.
