Job summary

Custom Health in Orlando is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations under the supervision of the Pharmacist and Pharmacy Leadership. You will accurately pack and ship prescription medications, perform inventory management, data entry for prescriptions and insurance claims, and answer patient inquiries while upholding privacy, safety, and regulatory standards.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, Florida license in good standing, and a preferred but non-mandatory

Qualifications

• Florida license in good standing is required.
• 3–5 years experience as a pharmacy technician.
• CPhT certification strongly preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or GED certificate.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently pack and ship prescription medications in accordance with laws and guidelines.
• Perform medication dispenser troubleshooting with patients and inventory cleanings.
• Prepare and package medications with proper labeling and dosage instructions.
• Maintain inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks; maintain the packing equipment.
• Assist with inventory management including receiving, restocking, and organizing medications.
• Process prescription orders including data entry and insurance claims processing.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and device-related questions.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow and timely prescription filling.
• Maintain a clean, compliant work environment and follow safety regulations.
• Adhere to privacy laws and Custom Health ethical standards.

The Pharmacy Technician will perform functions related to the daily operations of the pharmacy under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist and Pharmacy Leadership. Must be consistently punctual and take initiative to complete pharmacy tasks with a positive approach. Possess a positive attitude, be respectful and professional with all Pharmacy Team members at all times.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently pack and ship out prescription medications in accordance with established pharmacy laws, protocols, and guidelines.
• Perform medication dispenser troubleshooting with patients and return to stock cleanings and inventory operations.
• Prepare and package medications, ensuring proper labeling, dosage instructions, and auxiliary labels as necessary.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of medications and conduct regular stock checks to ensure availability as well as performing maintenance on pharmacy packager.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving, restocking, and organizing medications and supplies.
• Process prescription orders, including data entry, insurance claims processing, and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries, concerns, and device related questions with a positive approach.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure an efficient workflow, and timely prescription filling.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to pharmacy standards, safety regulations, and infection control protocols.
• Adhere to all relevant pharmacy laws, regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Adhere to Custom Health ethical standards and any failure to do so will not be tolerated and result it disciplinary action up to and including termination.
• Be required to complete other tasks such as cleaning the pharmacy and other areas during downtime.

Requirements

• 3-5 years' experience as a pharmacy technician
• Active/Good standing pharmacy technician license in the state of Florida
• CPhT certification strongly preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or GED certificate.
