Job summary

Meijer is seeking a licensed pharmacy professional to join our team in Indiana. The role involves patient-facing service, dispensing workflow, insurance claims adjudication, and maintaining a compliant, organized pharmacy environment.

The position requires state licensure where applicable, strong customer service, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail. Training provided where licensure is not mandated.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Registered and/or licensed as required in the state of practice.
• Retail/Community Pharmacy experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient typing skills.
• Neat and legible penmanship.
• Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients at various service points of contact.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Input customer and prescription information in the pharmacy system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Retrieve medications from inventory and stocking.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and drug orders.
• Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy environment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with licensure requirements.
• Attend Meijer employer-based training if licensure is not required.

What You'll be Doing:

• Level 2
• Interacting with patients at various service points of contact.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Effective communication skills and agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean, and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
• Licensed in their respective state if required.
• Successful completion of Meijer Employer based training if licensure is not required in their respective state.
