Job summary

Cub Mankato East is seeking a part-time pharmacy technician to support prescription filling, record keeping, and stocking in a busy retail pharmacy environment.

Job Overview

Cub Mankato East is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a part‑time pharmacy technician position. Pharmacy technician team members process prescriptions, maintain records, and support pharmacy stocking. The position also maintains shelf stock to ensure maximum product availability and sales.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in filling prescriptions
• Accurately process customers’ orders ensuring price accuracy and product knowledge
• Ensure positive customer relations
• Handle hazardous drugs
• Perform department receiving and stocking
• Assist in ordering
• Pull bottles of drugs for pharmacists to fill prescriptions
• Organize and clean
• Maintain Board of Pharmacy regulations

Job Requirements

• Ability to communicate through two‑way verbal and written communication (speech, hearing and writing)
• Ability to operate various office equipment (personal computer, telephone, fax)
• Availability to work extended hours, including weekends and evenings
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to read and see objects at close proximity (reading distance)
• Ability to comprehend written and verbal communication
• Ability to read/view computer screens for extended periods
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be 18 years of age and older
• Good judgement required as direct supervision may not be immediately available

Physical Requirements

• Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, repetitive motions
