Job summary

Genoa Healthcare in Defiance, OH is seeking a Part-Time Pharmacy Technician to support the mental health and specialty pharmacy. You will dispense prescriptions and perform clerical duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

This role offers 16 guaranteed hours per week with potential to flex up to 40 hours at nearby sites, Monday through Friday 8:30am–5:00pm, with a lunch break from 12:30pm to 1:00pm.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Ohio.
• Ability to perform local deliveries as needed.
• Onsite work at 211 Biede Ave. Room 103 Defiance, OH.
• Part-time schedule: 16 hours/week Mon-Fri 8:30–5:00.
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clinic consumers and staff.
• Fill prescription orders under supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Order, receive and store pharmacy supplies.
• Process wholesaler medication orders and maintain inventory.
• Assist pharmacist to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Perform clerical duties related to the department.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Other duties as assigned.

We seek a Part Time Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Hours

Part-time with 16 hours guaranteed weekly with potential to flex up to 40 hours weekly at other sites based on business need. Location hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm with lunch from 12:30pm to 1:00pm

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to work part time with 16 hours per week Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm
• Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
• Ability to cover at Van Wert, OH location as needed
