Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Part Time Pharmacy Technician to support mental health and specialty pharmacy operations in Addison, TX. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, you will dispense prescriptions and handle clerical duties while delivering friendly, accurate service.

Location: 16479 Dallas Pkwy Ste 310, Addison. Schedule: Mon-Thu 11:30am–5:30pm CST; Site Hours: Mon-Thu 8:30am–5:30pm CST, Fri 8:30am–3pm CST.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Texas license as Pharmacy Technician.
• Delivery driving ability with reliable transportation.
• Pharmacy data entry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff.
• Fills prescription orders and verifications under pharmacist supervision.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies stock and updates inventory records in the system.
• Supports pharmacy functions while maintaining compliance with regulations.
• Performs clerical duties for the department.
• Communicates professionally in person, by phone and in writing.
• Performs daily local deliveries or FedEx/post office drop-offs as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

We seek a Part Time Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Location: 16479 DALLAS PKWY Ste 310 Addison, TX 75001

Site Hours: Monday - Friday (Mon - Thu 8:30am - 5:30pm CST, Fri 8:30am - 3pm CST)

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 11:30am - 5:30pm CST

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to asset in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned
• Will be required to make daily drop-offs to Fedex or post office; will need to make occasional local deliveries when needed

Required Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the state of Texas
• Access to reliable transportation & valid US driver’s license
• Ability to use own’s vehicle for deliveries and mail runs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification

The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 - $29 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
