Job summary

UNFI Maplewood is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists with prescription processing, stock and customer service in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities include filling prescriptions, price checks, handling hazardous drugs, receiving shipments, ordering, organizing, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Open availability weekends/evenings; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Two-way communication through verbal and written channels required.
• Ability to operate and use office equipment as needed (PC, phone, fax).
• Must be able to work extended hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to read and see at close range and comprehend written/verbal information.
• Written and verbal comprehension required.
• Ability to view computer screens for extended periods.
• Requires a high school diploma or GED and be 18+.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in filling prescriptions.
• Process customers’ orders with price accuracy and product knowledge.
• Maintain positive customer relations.
• Handle hazardous drugs.
• Receive and stock department items.
• Assist in ordering.
• Pull drug bottles for pharmacists to fill prescriptions.
• Organize and clean work areas and ensure regulatory compliance.
