Job summary

Cosentino's Price Chopper #171 in Lee's Summit, MO is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Part Time to assist customers with prescriptions and wellness needs in a courteous, safety-focused manner.

Reporting to the Pharmacist in Charge, this on-site role requires excellent customer service, basic math, and familiarity with pharmacy software; HS diploma preferred and Technician Certification is welcomed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and pharmacy POS systems advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Receive and refer new and refilled prescriptions for filling.
• Verify patient and prescriber details for accuracy and legibility.
• Process cash register transactions for prescriptions.
• Provide medication instructions, side effects and product descriptions.
• Arrange consultations with Pharmacist when requested.
• Maintain patient profiles, filing and records, in a compliant manner.
• Keep pharmacy shelves and work areas clean and organized.
